Garden of Mary Tornborg
Mary Tornborg, member since 1998, has a wonderful garden, which includes Hawaiian Snow Plants that surround her home and grow taller than they are supposed to!
Mary has also experimented with Hydroponics so she’ll have a magnificent harvest from a very small "container" with a minimum of water. This is a lesson that we all need.
Mary also grows a variety of annuals, perennials and succulents and is very generous in sharing. Mary can often be found in her garden, her daughter’s or other members’.
Mary volunteers and is an active member of the Discovery Group. She is also a member of the Carlsbad Historical Society where she is part of the Group that maintains the Gardens outside the Histoical Building in Magee Park, Carlsbad.
