AHLF Volunteer Group
The Carlsbad Garden Club supports the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation in Carlsbad in two ways. We are sponsoring them as a "Community Member". Our second way is "hands on" since we have committed as a Club to weed and trim to help maintain their native plants which are showcased on Cannon Road.
Please contact Mary Hassing at (760) 845-6339 if you are planning to participate.
We have been instructed by Greg Rubin who is in charge of their landscape design and coordinate our efforts with Executive Director, Lisa Rodman. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about native plants, help our Community and have fun while doing it.
Question: Must you be a member of the Carlsbad Garden Club to volunteer?
Answer: No…everyone can help…you will be most welcome!

The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation was established as a non profit corporation in 1990 to help conserve, restore and enhance the environmental features of the Agua Hedionda Lagoon, marsh, wetlands and watershed area, to protect sensitive land through acquisition or other means and to promote balanced recreational and commercial uses consistent with assured future lagoon vitality. The Foundation serves as an advocate for the lagoon and is a strong supporter of public access, trails and recreational opportunities.
